configuring acquisition within two triggers

hi,

i have a simple query.i m using PCI-5105.

Can  i setup my acquisition such that it starts the data acquisition once trigger gives negative edge and stops it once that trigger gives a positive edge and so on. while i m using one trigger channel and data is on another channel.

Hello Umair,

What you are referring to is a pause trigger and unfortunately this is not possible with our scope devices.  We have something similar called a window trigger but this involves using an analog channel and setting two thresholds.  You can choose to only acquire once the signal is within this threshold (i.e. b/t 2 and 4 V).  Otherwise, if you're planning on triggering off of a digital edge you can use a refernce trigger.  What this requires is setting a specified number of pretrigger samples and whenever the trigger is received it will take the number of samples you specified before that trigger.  If you look in the High Speed Digitizers Help File there is a section on triggering which explains each of these trigger types.
