hsdio script delay

I am seeing a fixed (and very stable) delay between a script trigger and digital output.

With a 1MHz clock the delay is 33.5usec. If the clock freq is doubled the delay is cut in half, so it seems to be a fixed number of clocks.  I can work around the delay but I would like to know if it is possible to remove it.

I am using the 6562 hsdio board.

Hi QKD,

Unfortunately, there is no way to remove the delay.  Page 25 of the 6561/6562 specifications lists the following:

Delay from trigger to digital data output:

34 Sample clock periods + 85 ns

If you have a sufficient amount of memory on your card, you can reduce this time by increasing your clock frequency and using repeated samples in your waveform.

Hope that helps,
