ivi problems with niscope

I am trying to use a NI-5112 digitizer utilizing IVI from within TestStand 2 and get the following Error:

Error executing substep 'Post'.
An exception occurred calling 'RunStep' in 'ISubstep' of 'TestStand Ivi Step Types 1.0 Type Library'
An error occurred while executing the step.
Component Works IVI Control Error: The IVI Init operation failed for logical name 'niScope'.
Details: Session Manager: niScope_InitWithOptions returned an error: -1074118622 (0xbffa4022). Unknown status value 0xBFFA4022 Primary Error Code: -1074135028.

Step 'Ivi Scope' of sequence 'MainSequence' in 'IVItest.seq'

I do not get this error when i try using mu niFGEN IVI instrument. My soft front pa
nles all seem to work.

Craig,

This error seems to be related to the set up of the logical name configured in MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer). In order to make sure that this is what is actually happening, we could try to run one of the shipping examples that come with TestStand.

The example will be located at \examples\IVI\IVISteptypes.seq This example is intended to use the majority of our Modular Instruments with IVI, so you should be able to run it without problems.

If you have LabVIEW, I would also recommend to try to address the logical name using IVI (similar to what you do with TestStand).
