output pulse and digitize simultaneously using the PXI-5620?

I have a PXI-5620 high speed digitizer (scope) mounted in a PXI chasis with a NI slot 0 PC controller.  I would like to use it to digitize a few thousand samples and send out a pulse at the exact same time.  Is this possible with this product?

Or, could i trigger the 5620 with the PXI slot 0 front panel trigger connector?  Where i would do a sofware trigger and then capture the trigger pulse using that front panel coaxial connector on the slot 0 controller.

You should be able to export the reference trigger on PFI1 or one of the RTSI lines (set Trigger Output Terminal property to desired line if using LabVIEW).  Alternately, you can use PFI1 or one of the RTSI lines as a source for a digital trigger.  Set trigger type to Digital and set the source to the PFI1, one of the RTSI lines, or the STAR trigger line.  Use the slot 0 controller to trigger it and send out a trigger pulse at the same time.
