problems installing PCI NI-5112

Hello,

I had to change my measurement PC to a newer PC.

So I transfered my NI-5112 card to the new PC, but within this PC I contineously get a error -10840

Both PC run at XP SP2 with Labview 7.1 with the updated NI-DAXmx IVI 2.2 ....VISA and  NI scope 2.9.1

But in the old PC the card runs without error, new PC gives me this Error

Software error -10840.

What can cause these error?

Hi,

Please take a look at the following document and make sure you are not running into this issue, all tough I doubt that this is the problem in your case.

Error -10840 (or HEX 0xBFFA4001) with the PXI-5112

The key would probably be in the software versions between the two machines. could you compare the versions for both machines? especially Traditional NI-DAQ, NI-Scope, IVI and VISA.

If there are any differences then correct these so the new PC has the same software version as the old one.

The software versions on both computers are exactly the same.

But unluckaly I've tried another card in this new PC and this worked without error's. this assumes that the software is fine.

Please contact your local NI Office here to discusses the issue with a Engineer and possibly start-up a RMA for your faulty board.
