Hi Austin User Community.
We have our next scheduled LabVIEW User Group Meeting this Wednesday (5/11/11) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. You should be receiving a notice about this via e-mail. If you don’t, and you see this message, please go to the following location to register
For this user group meeting, I will be presenting on the following topics:
Overview of the LabVIEW Web UI Builder
Travis Ferguson will give an overview of this “Early Access” product for building thin-client applications in a LabVIEW-style environment. This will include a step-by-step demonstration of building the various components, in combination with a CompactRIO system.
LabVIEW Design Patterns
One of the goals of the LabVIEW User Group Meeting is to expand the skillsets of the community members. One of the fundamental steps to building more advanced applications is to understand LabVIEW Design Patterns. Travis Ferguson will provide an overview of two design patterns – the State Machine, and the Producer/Consumer design pattern. For those of you already familiar/comfortable with these concepts, please come with your user experiences on where you found these design patterns most useful.
I know we’ve had other potential topics to cover in the user group meetings. If you have ideas for potential topics you would like to present, please contact Travis Ferguson. Just consider either tips or techniques that you find powerful/useful, and think others could benefit from. Or, if you have a typical problem you always run into, and would like guidance on how to potentially solve it, please let Travis know.
As always, thank you for your participation.
Travis Ferguson
