I have a PXIe-1062Q chassis system with several modules installed, including the PXI-8532 DeviceNet interface card. I am having difficulty establishing a connection to a network - the OpenIO vi produces an error and a large object handle (error?). In addition, none of the LEDs on the module light up and I do not measure any power being sourced from the module. I have installed the beta 2.1 IndCom API for the module.
Some questions to help debug:
- Should there be any indication that the module is operating? I also have the XNET and PROFIBUS PXI modules, and none of the LED indicators on those modules light up when the system is powered on.
- The DeviceNet module does show up in the MAX Devices and Interfaces explorer. However, it is not grouped together with the PXI chassis, as all the other modules are. In addition, when I select it, there are no options to test or configure the module. Is this normal?
- The PXI-8532 is installed in one of the hybrid slots on the PXI chassis. Would this make a difference as far as receiving power from the backplane?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have seen ressource conflicts with the 8532 caused by an outdated platform service driver. try downloading this new version of the PXI platform service driver and if your chassis runs RT update your RT installation. for both Windows and Rt go into Max and identify your controller and chassis. Let me know if that doesn't help.
