Does anyone have any experience with this device failing? I bought one in 2022 and so far it has been repaired, replaced, and now the replacement is on it's way back after a repair. It was initially bought to replace older USB 8472, which have worked flawlessly in the same setup as the 8501.
Apparently there's something happening that cause the Port 1 to fail, reporting a problem with the power. In my case this error seem to happen even when we are not actively using the device, and we suspect something happens when the attached computer goes through a restart (automatically installs updates etc.). So far NI have been replacing/repairing the unit, but we suffer from serious downtime and little to no trust in using this device in our production environment, particularly since there's no word from NI on what might be causing these errors.
Currently we are looking at porting the software accessing this to support an IXXAT USB-to-CAN II instead, but hopefully NI or the community might have some valuable insight into these devices.
