I have created an event driven GUI to control the 2304a power supply and deployed it to several different PCs. 

There is one power supply in which the GUI responds very slowly( several seconds). 

I tried another power supply with the same firmware version on that same pc and the GUI responds very robustly .

I am thinking it could be an issue with the on board processor for the 2304a power supply. 

Any suggestions out there?

Hi Brian,

There might be something wrong with your power supply if the same program on the same computer gives different results with another power supply (of the same model). You may want to contact the instrument manufacturer for additional help.

Thanks Missy.  I have tried to contact Keithley via email but no success.  I will probably have to pick up the phone.

I fixed the problem with the help of a suggestion from Keithley.  *rst.  simple but effective.  I dont like using *rst for the simple fact of I might not want to restore to factory defaults.  But I guess if one is going to write effective code you need to cover all the bases.  Boy do I feel dumb.  Another case of live and learn.
