Hi Pat. Thanks again.. how about the tnt4882 ASIC?

Hello,
Unfortunately, no, the TNT4882 ASIC is not suited for the application as discussed. I apologize for not addressing that directly in my previous post.

Hi Pat,
Last question, But using the TNT4882 IC, can I tap on the current Tester and Handler setup and monitor the on going communication on them (assuming my programming is correct)

Yes, but the TNT will handshake the data.

Hi GPIB_Guru,
Thanks, so if the data is handshaked... assuming the tester send data to the handler. but since we have a tapped device which is the TNT circuit both the handler and tester will recieved the data? no interference will happen. Smooth operations?

I mean the Tapping circuit and the handler will recieve the data without interference?

I don't know what you mean by no interference, but the TNT WILL handshake the data. It is not a logic analyzer. It is not capable of just reading the data w/o handshaking. You can snoop, but you can not do it the TNT like you can a logic analyzer (which is basically what the analyzer board is).
You have two options:
1) Use the TNT and save lots of money and deal with the fact that it will be connected to the bus
2) Spend more money for a logic analyzer to snoop the bus w/o interference.

thanks, Lastly
if the data is sent by the tester and handshaked by either the tapping circuit or the Handler will the data be both recieved by the handler and tapping circuit?
