Acquire analog input without a DAQ board

Hi,

we have licenses for LabVIEW but do not have DAQ boards on every single machine. Does anyone know if it is possible to acquire an analog input in a cheaper way? For example through the parallel, serial or sound card ports?

Well, you can do some very limited data acquisition with a sound card. It IS possible! There are quite a few limitations though, but for basic functions, it just might do the trick. There's actually a LabVIEW example program that uses your sound card like a DAQ card. Here's the link:
