Anyone else have problems using RS232/8 card with XP?

My program used to crash after a few thousand iterations. Now that I've downloaded the latest service pack from MS, it no longer crashes, but system performance is very slow. The same vi runs for days on a win2000 machine!

Hi laserguy,

I have not had any problems using this hardware on XP.  Are you communicating with all 8 ports?  Are you doing any data logging or appending to arrays in the program?  And how large is the overall application?  We will need more information to see what is going on in this particular case.

John, I updated my drivers (NI Serial 1.8, GPIB, and XP serive pack 2), and it fixed the problem.
