Hello community,
I recently heard about those serial cards being discontinued by NI for ... yeah, I don't know why they should do that, obviously. Can anyone confirm or - what would be my favourite - disprove this?
Many Thanks,

Go to the product page: https://www.ni.com/en-us/support/model.pci-8430-8.html
Check if there is a Life Cycle Status and click link if available: https://www.ni.com/en/support/hardware-product-life-cycle-policies.html
Read about status and call sales if more information is needed.
It looks like the PCI-8430/2 is considered mature, they are most likely being replaced with PCIe and USB models. A few years back it was hard to get a computer with even a single PCI slot, so I imagine it would be even harder to find a current computer with a PCI slot.

Hi SledgeHammer89,
If you're looking for discontinued or obsolete NI parts, then Apex Waves is a great resource!

Thank you, Bryan, I didn't notice that link there. Ok, so I also think that these cards will be replaced with the PCI-Express cards. This would be no problem, of course, as modern computers are likely to have PCIe slots rather than pure PCI.
