I noticed that the software installation CD that came with my hardware says that it is for Windows Vista/XP/2000. I installed the software on Windows Server 2003 in hopes that it might work anyways, but it didn't. Are there drivers available for Windows Server 2003?

Hi Jsams!
Checking the NI Serial driver page, i found out that this interface is not officially supported by NI to work on Windows Server 2003.
Under the category of ENET, you can check there is no driver listed as its not currently supported. Maybe you can try installing the lates driver version and check if by any chance it works.
Sorry to be the one giving the bad news.
Have a great day!

Hello,
There is a way to use the ENET-232/4 from a Windows Server 2003 OS. First install a supported version of VISA and use a VISA resource with the type ASRL::<ipaddress>::<portNum>::INSTR.
This KB details the steps necessary to use the ENET on operating systems not supported by NI-Serial. The only requirement is that NI-VISA must support the operating system.
I hope this helps,
Steven T.
