Can two PCI-232 cards be plugged in together?

We have two NI PCI-232 16 port cards. They work well and we're pleased with them. However it would be very convenient to plug them both into one PC. Can you please tell me if this would be a wise or stupid thing to try to do? Thanks in anticipation.

You can use multiple NI PCI-232 cards in your system. The only thing to be aware of is that as you increase the number of ports on your system, the maximum available throughput on any given port will decrease. However, for most serial applications, this is not an issue.
