The only problem here is with Termination char and also the EC giving error always.

May i also know why there is TO at Max??

Pls help me to fix the Term Char issue,i am struck here for quite a long period.I tried all possible combo from ni webpage.I have to create a GUI,i can proceed further only after this.

Please attach the I/O Trace you did with the correct initialize function.

The trace from the basic example shows that the instrument responds with a new line terminator and the response is terminated with a carriage return. That is why you get the timeout in MAX. It is waiting for a new line. You can set different termination for reads and writes. I have no idea why the vendor would program their instrument that way.

I'm stumped. I don't know what is wrong with the code. It still will not automatically append the termination character. You might just have to go into each VI and manually append it. Sorry.

But i have already tried appending manually,it did not solve it.

I tried giving juzst the command and command with TErm Char.Both failed.

It will work just like the basic serial example you used. Right click on the string control and select '\' Codes Display.

How many different initialize functions do you have floating around? This is very different than the last one you posted and the image does not show the term character. Change the display of the constant so that everyone knows that \ codes is actually on.

This is from 34401,which u suggested.I will take this as my final Initilise vi.

I have already enabled it and it fails.
