Hi: I'm a newbie here, but I recently acquired an HP7475 line plotter with an HPIB interface and also located an old Cyber Research GPIB USB interface controller to attempt to talk to the plotter. However, I do not have a Win10 driver for this interface. There is no response from the CyberResearch website download link and their phone lines have been disconnected, so they appear to be history. DId NI buy out Cyber Research? Does anyone know where I could find a driver for this interface? If not, would any of the NI GPIB USB drivers work on this older interface? If not, does anyone have any other ideas on how to get this old interface working to at least send HPGL files to the plotter?
Thanks!

Hi jproehl,
NI 488.2 and NI VISA should work with the interface. You can use the manual at http://www.schulheft-ottakring.eu/vane/Schule/Literatur/Messtechnik/Instrumentation%20Interfaces/GPI... to determine the commands to program the hardware with.

Hi Sarahmo:
Thanks for the reply. I downloaded and installed those two (I think I got them correct) but I'm still having trouble. The NI Visa driver wizard detects some devices, but none appear to be GPIB devices (but maybe it shows up with a different designation).
However, I notice when I go to Windows Device Manager and plug and unplug the USB cable that the interface device is coming up under "Other Devices" as "Unknown Device". So I wonder if Windows isn't capable of seeing the USB device properly which then doesn't allow the NI Visa wizard to connect to it.
Any more ideas??
Thanks, Jeff
