DAQmx8 install problem with traditional NI DAQ

Hi

I have legacy DAQ  6.9.3 on my PC and wanna to install DAQmx8 but I  have an error that I should remove the previous version, but I do not have any DAQmax on my PC, why?

Thanks for your input,OK I got the point but I do not want to uninstall the DAQ 6.3.9 as I need it to work with DAQ700, and simultaneously I need to install DAQmax to work with a the other instrument. is there any solution to this problem. I know that I can not have both at the same PC but I have an exe file to run the other instrument, that exe file needs nimercu.dll that means I should have DAQmax installed. Can u help me?

What version of LabVIEW are you using? What is the other device that requires DAQmx?

I do not have LV just an exe code and the other instrument is impact echo from olsen

That instrument would not require DAQmx, nor can DAQmx directly control it. DAQmx is for NI data acquisition cards. Do you actually have another DAQ device besides the DAQ700? What is this other exe that you're referring to? Where did you get it?

The exe code is a code written for the instrument that I mentioned, when running this code, there is a message: "nimercu.dll was not found" I asked the tech support and told me, I have to install DAQMax.

What tech support told you this? And where did that exe come from? How many DAQ cards do you have in your system? What are their model numbers? How is the impact echo unit connected to your computer?
