Differences between v1 and v2.2 GPIB drivers for Solaris 2

I have been seeing some odd behavior between v1.0 and v2.2 of the Solaris 2.x drivers with my PCI-GPIB cards. The GPIB cards are in Sun Ultra 10s and 60s.

We are interfacing to a Tektronix scope in this application and the download time from the scope has increase by a factor of 5. The configuration seems to be the same and the hardware and program are all the same. However, when I capture data it seems that what used to take us takes many ms. I can think of no good explanation for why NRFD would take 1000x as long to go high other than an NI bug since everything (even the data xfered) is the same.

In browsing through other problems I did not notice anything but perhaps I missed this
problem if it is a known bug. I urgently need some help...any ideas?

Below is the data I have taken.

Warren,

Your data looks very helpful. I do see the differences in your Analyzer captures. However, this question may need more investigation, so please contact the e-mail support engineers through http://www.ni.com/ask, so we can offer something for you to try.

Then, when we have determined the solution, we can post that on the site.

Warren,

Perhaps I didn't phrase my previous comment very well. I do have something for you to try, but I cannot post it on the Developer Exchange, because I can only offer it to customers who have purchased the Solaris driver. When you e-mail into support, I will need your contact information (name, address, phone number, and e-mail). Then, we can see if what I have works for you. If so, then we can answer the Developer Exchange by telling people to e-mail into support to get the resolution.

NI-488.2 v2.3 for Solaris resolves this issue. The upgrade information is available at ni.com/downloads.
