Do I need LUFA?

Hi,

I am making a 24 Channel 22-bit ADC @ 1 kHz -10 kHz. I am using a ATMEGA32U4 to interface the 24 ADC's to a PC. I was going to use LUFA CDC virtual Serial port but I am not sure if that is even nessesary. Can I just use the VISA Driver Wizard and some other stuff. Or do I need LUFA or something similar? Thanks.

Hi Ryman,

You can communicate with a device if it supports USB INSTR and USB RAW. Please take a look at this white paper, USB Instrument Control Tutorial http://www.ni.com/white-paper/4478/en  for getting started with USB and the VISA Driver Wizard. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
