Does NAT9914 control lines require memory mapping to CPU?

I got NAT9914, a GPIB controller from NI. Looking at the connection diagram using CPU(80186), it seems like it requires memory mapping. If that's the case, there is only limited choice on the CPU. I have a STM32F101C4, an ARM 32-bit Cortex cpu and I was wondering if that would work with the GPIB controller. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Hi GPIB.user,

I don't have experience working with the NAT9914 chip, but there's another thread I found that discusses using this chip with an ARM controller.

I guess the best way to find out if your ARM controller works is to try it out. The reference manual would be the best place to start.
