Downgrading cvi runtime installed with NI-488.2 2.5

When installing NI-488.2 2.5  CVI runtime 8.1.0.275 will be installed. However this runtime may cause problems with some serial devices ( as described in http://forums.ni.com/ni/board/message?board.id=180&thread.id=29915). Is there a recommanded path to downgrade CVI  runtime to an older version without that problem ?

Hi markus,

We actually fixed that bug in the 8.5 version of the CVI RTE which you can download here. I would rather you not try and downgrade the RTE since its much easier for us to help you out if you use the latest version.  We state that the CVI RTE provides backwards compatiblity and we stand by that claim so any problems you have, we will address.
