Enable Termination Characters in Visa Test Panel

I am trying to enable termination characters in the visa test panel of NI MAX for my Keithley 2401. When I click "apply changes" I get the message "SET Enable Termination to VI_TRUE No Error", but when I reopen the test panel there are no changes made to the settings. Any reason for this?

The test panel resets the settings each time it is opened or possibly when closed.
