Error in VISA Open

Hello everybody,

I am using Labview 8.5.I have recently update my VISA library from old version to the latest 5.0.3, and after that all my VIs cannot run any more(use to be working). There is an Error -1073807202 in VISA Open function. I searched for this error code and it tells me that the library cannot located or loaded. In the meanwhile, I checked the visa32.dll. It is at the right place C:\WINDOWS\system32. I have tried the followings, but non of them can solve my problem.

1. Uninstall VISA 5.0.3

2. Reinstall the VISA library5.0.3 and Labview 8.5

3. Rename visa.dll and reinstall VISA 5.0.3

I don't know where comes the problem and it really drives me crazy. 😞

Could anyone give me some advice. It will be really appreciated!

I uninstall all NI software and reinstall them again, then problem solved.

Hello Johannes,

Before my PC has installed LV 8.2.1, 8.5, 8.6 and VISA 4.0,4.2. Then, I update to VISA 5.0.3 and all my VISA functions(VisaOpen,VisaWrite,VisaRead) are not working any more. The error is "Library cannot be located or loaded!".

Finally I have uninstall all Labview versions as well as VISA and reinstalled Labview 8.2.1 and VISA 5.0.3. Now the problem is solved!
