EtherCAT Slaves

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello. I am not sure if I navigated to the correct location or not. What I am trying to find out is, what is the ingress protection of the NI slave modules that interface with with an EthernetCAT Master? I don't have an exact part number. I have been told that there isn't anything NI available that will be any better than IP10 but I haven't found anything to support that claim. If someone might know, I would sure appreciate it. Thank you.

I'm not sure if we have specific ratings but if you put what modules or parts you are looking to get ratings for I can certainly check on our end.

Are you looking for the IP for the 9144 chassis or particular C-Series modules?  If you can tell me what modules/chassis you are interested in I can at least take a look.

That is great to hear.  Where were you able to find this information?

If you can post where you were able to find this information then it might help answer another person's question in the future.

The tech on NI support sent me the link to the document I was looking for. I tried to paste the link here however, it wouldn't let me.

For documentation if future users look for this, the Ingress Protection should be listed in the specification documentation for the 9144 EtherCAT as well as the individual C-Series modules.

The information is always found under the Environmental section of the User Guide and Specification document.  For the 9144, this can be found on page 17 of the following document.
