Excel Data

Hello,

I'm trying to collect the data from the instruments such as SourceMeter and MultiMeter, that are connected via GPIB.  I would like to export collected data into Excel and automatically create graphs out of it.  Any hints, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Well, you can automatically create graphs in LabVIEW and say yourself some effort but if you really want to use Excel, you can purchase the Report Generation Toolkit or use Excel's ActiveX properties and methods. There have been numerous posts about Excel and you could do a search of the LabVIEW forum. I would recomend you start by looking at some of the posts to here. Further questions about LabVIEW and Excel should really be posted to the LabVIEW board as it really has nothing to do with instrument control.

Well, if it works in LV good. What I'm trying to do is to collect (save (print after)) the data (from the insstrument) and graph it. I thought that the best way to do that is in Excel, but obviously I'm missing something with labView. How would you do that in the LabView?

Thank you

LabVIEW has the waveform chart, the waveform graph, and the XY graph. LabVIEW also has numerous file I/O functions. If you are just getting started with LabVIEW, I would recomend starting with some of the tutorials at http://www.ni.com/academic/lv_training/how_learn_lv.htm. If you have a specific question about either, please provide additioanl details.
