External Exception was unhandled while creating an object in .net

I imported the dll provided during installation Keithley.IVR.net2.dll.. (I don remember the exact name)

I tried to create an object KE2700 ke=new KE2700("resource", true, true); using C# programming language.

But I am getting an error like external exception was unhandled..

I Placed the code in try and catch block only.

My OS is windows xp. Do I need to download any specific dll for windows xp. even i tried to compile the sample program(temperature controller in VB) which comes with installation but even there I am getting the error while creating the object.

Kindly help me in this regard.

The tutorial given is about controlling the instrument by C#. I went thru it but I could not find a solution. Moreover, my problem is to which dll file i need to import in order to read the temperature data from the keithley data logger of model 2700. 

I am unable to create the object of the type mentioned in the above post.

Sounds like a question for Keithley since it is their DLL.

Well, these are National Instruments forums. You'd have better luck talking to Keithley direct.
