We are trying to load the GBIP Ni Visa driver onto a new HP 6200 PC running Windows 7, but the system fails upon reboot and must go thru a repair to restart. The driver comes from Chrysler in order to communicate with their DRBIII tool via the GBIP converter. I downloaded a newer driver from NI, it loaded successfully, but the Chrysler application does not see the driver. I tried loading the Chrysler driver over the top of the new driver, but it still is not discovered. If I remove the new driver, and reinstall the old, the system fails again. I am hoping for some insight into what may be causing a conflict with the older driver that the Chrysler application seems to require. Chrysler is of little help with resolving this problem. The new driver I loaded was the NI488.2 and Visa 5.1.1 driver. The Chrysler provided application driver seems to load an NI-PAL, NI-488.2, and NIVisa Runtime application and drivers.

Thanks for your response. I have been able to get this application to run on a Dell Optiplex 780 running Windows 7. Therefore, I was thinking this was a hardware conflict, particularly when I was able to load the newer driver without an issue.
