GPIB Analyzer for WIndows 2000, XP

This question was asked before (April 2001). Will NI provide analyzer software for PCI-GPIB+ under Windows 2000 and/or XP? It appears that NI has essentially dropped analyzer support for the new Window OS's. Is this true. It has been years since Windows 2000 has been around and still no analyzer software is available.

In the near future will there be support for these OSs?

I am frustrated that NI hasn't provided support for these otherwise useful cards.

Please do not answer this question that NI is working on this software. I want to know some details about what is going on.

Thanks.

Hi ProLab,

Unfortunately I cannot give you any specific details because I do not know any specific details myself. What I can offer you is that I know that it is being actively worked on as we speak. Tentatively, it is scheduled for early 2003, but as I said this is very tentative.

Sorry I was not able to help you more ProLab.

I also want to add that the next driver will support the PCI-GPIB+ and the PCMCIA-GPIB+ analyzer cards. Prolab, if you want to be a part of that beta program, please click on the Contact NI link in the top right corner of the browser, and send your contact information through the Request Support link. Choose the e-mail option, and specify what GPIB hardware you have available for beta testing.

I do not have a timeframe to give, but the beta program is approaching, so you can start signing up at the http://www.ni.com/beta website. Choose GPIB Beta, log into your profile, and make sure you accept the Terms and Conditions.
