GPIB-PCII/IIA not Listed in MAX tree

I have this (quite) old card (1990 ... obviously non-PnP). I tried to install it under win98SE, using LABView 6.1 & NI488.2 1.7. I followed step-by-step the instructions:
1) Add NEW GPIB Hardware
2) Configured the swithches on the board
3) Shutdown, insert the board, reboot
4) Windows Ok, Windows Device Manager lists the board with no conflicts ... but MAX 2.0 refuses to list it under the "Devices And Interfaces" Tab.
Any Hint.

In MAX, do a View»Refresh.

Already done, without success ...
But I tried to use the GPIB Card with an oscilloscope attached to it ... the scope seems to work, controlled by the GPIB ...
In the end the problem is "only" formal ... the device works, but MAX refuses to show it under the appropriate tree ...
The important thing is that the GPIB-PCII (by now) seems to work ...
