I'm trying to get an SCSI-GPIB box working with a Macintosh IIci running OS 7.0.1. I installed the NI-488.2 7.6.6 driver, but when I run the diagnostic I get:
gpib0 (20) ibcac 0 Error: status 0x134 returned when 0x130 expected
I notice the ReadMe indicates that a "ROM version A.5" is required for non SCSI-A boxes, is that the problem?
Is there another driver I should be using for this box/OS combination? We were talking to this box fine with a Macintosh IIsi running OS 7.1.1 up until last week when it died. I don't know what driver was installed on that machine, though.

leftside,
Have you tried searching ni.com/idnet or ni.com/drivers? I was able to find a Mac 488.2 driver for GPIB-SCSI but they are only compatible with OS 8.1 and higher.

This is the driver I installed. I'm not sure why it isn't appearing in the search now; I found and downloaded it earlier this week. Does NI have an archive of antiquated drivers somewhere?

leftside,
The two pages I listed are where you can find the drivers we support. There's ni.com/idnet for specific instruments and ni.com/drivers for our major driver packages. The one you linked to is also available in the search of the second page, so I'm not sure what you mean.
Thanks,

Yes, I had a look through, but didn't see anything more appropriate than the driver I linked. I was just wondering if there is an archive of outdated drivers somewhere that I could try. The computer that died was certainly using something older than 7.6.6.
7.6.6 sounds like it should work, but I installed it on two different machines running OS 7 and tried two different GPIB-SCSI controllers. I received the same error each time.

I agree that 7.6.6 should work, but we should address the "ROM Version A.5" problem. I'm not sure what that's referencing, and I don't have the readme file since I can't open the Mac .hqx file on my Windows machine. If there's any context on what that ROM is, see if you can locate it and try installing the driver again.
Thanks,
