GPIB-USB-B error EDVR (0xe1080063)

A previously working Labview controlled GPIB-USB-B setup stopped working and now GPIB commands like "Initialize GPIB" and ibdev from the interactive control utility are returning the EDVR error.  I cannot find the explanation for the 0xe1080063 code. What does it mean? I have tried reinstalling the drivers, but because I am working remotely I cannot remove the usb-gpib cable during the installation.  Does this cause the driver installation to be invalid?  The driver seems to install perfectly.  Both ibfind gpib0 and ibdev 0 0 0 13 1 0 fail, but MAX shows gpib0 under Devices and Interfaces. What could be the cause of this?

Hi Mark,

The drivers for USB devices are installed for that device when it's plugged in to your system. This means that to have the updated drivers working properly on that GPIB-USB-B you would need to unplug and replace that device. Unplug the device before you install the driver, then plug it in after you're done. That should resolve this issue.
