GPIB-USB-HS unknown device

Hi,

I have 2 GPIB-USB-HS interfaces, one is working properly the second is not recognised under XP whatever PC's with NI MAX installed I use. It appears as unknown USB device while at the same time  the other appears as specific NI USB interface with the NI logo.

What is wrong with that blue box ?

Hello bassevellois,

Thank you for posting on National Instruments' forum.

Did you try to install driver of the second (unknown) card in the device manager? Did you try to uninstall drivers?

Can you give me the model of your computer and the version of Windows XP (SP?) ?

Yes indeed I tried, so the issue is when I give the right path toward the right.inf file (the same as the one which works) it fails installing the right driver as the device is unknown so the description does not fit the IEEE device description.

When you plug the module on USB socket no led is flashing.

Is there any problem of firmware for the module ?

May be the module is  defective.

I think there is nothing to do with my computer model which is a Dell latitude E4310 or the release of XP 2002 service pack 3 because when I change with an another GPIB USB HS on this computer that works.

I invite you to have a look at this web link : here

It is a probably error of your unknown USB device, if your computer recognize the second hardware in USB 1.1 mode.

Thank you for replying me if it's work (or not).
