GPIB no longer detects instruments after intalling lastest NI-DAQmx

Hi everyone,

I recently installed the latest version of NI-DAQmx and my PCI-GPIB card no longer detects any instruments when a scan for instruments is performed.  Any idea what is going on or things to try?  I believe I've installed the latest driver for the PCI-GPIB board.  Is there a compatibility issue with the newest NI-DAQmx and PCI-GPIB?

Thanks,
Susan

Hi Susan,

I had a similar problem with a USB-GPIB converter. I have had installed the latest Agilent IO Control (version 14.2) and that didn't work. Then I found out that it isn't compatible with NI-DAQmx. I downloaded version 14.0 and it worked. Maybe you try it and it helpes.
Good luck!

Hello,
Certain drivers are incompatible with certain operating systems.
It just might be that by installing the DAQmx drivers your 488.2 drivers where upgraded.
What version of the driver is currently installed onto your system and what OS are you using?

Please verify your driver version compatitibility using the table found here.

Let us know if this helps.
