I believe you're talking about the error that says something like "The GPIB0 ( ) interface has been incorrectly configured, Run Troubleshooting Wizard..."
This error usually indicates that there is an IP connectivity problem between the devices.

Can you ping the ENET/100 as soon as you boot? If not, that's probably why you're getting this message. When you go through the whole installation process, do you actually re-assign the IP address, or just delete and re-add the GPIB device in MAX? Can you see the device when you search for it?
