Gpib enet configuration problem

Hi,

I have the following problem:
ever since I reloaded a ghost image on the computer (cause of some vi's didn't work anymore after I updated VISA) I cannot configure the GPIB - ENET /100 correctly.
It seems that every time I restart the computer I have to reconfigure the ENET100??
The configuration itself is straight forward and if I finish I get no error message or whatsoever.
And all seems to work fine...
After the restart the Interface is present in the interface list in Max, but when I try to search for instruments an error windows pops up with the message that the interface is not correctly configured.
So each time I restart I have to go to the whole installation process...leaving the computer on all the time is no option.

Any idea what the problem might be??

Thanks alot.

Bye for now

Hello,

I believe you're talking about the error that says something like "The GPIB0 ( ) interface has been incorrectly configured, Run Troubleshooting Wizard..."

This error usually indicates that there is an IP connectivity problem between the devices. Here is a KnowledgeBase article on the issue that may be of some assistance.

Can you ping the ENET/100 as soon as you boot? If not, that's probably why you're getting this message. When you go through the whole installation process, do you actually re-assign the IP address, or just delete and re-add the GPIB device in MAX? Can you see the device when you search for it?

Hope this helps, or at least we can clarify the problem more.

Scott
