Hi,

I am afraid I cannot help. I do not have access any longer to one of these brooks mass flow controllers.

The only thing I can suggest is to check if all paramters to constructor.vi are coupled and to make sure that your cable to the instrument works fine, meaning that you have included the terminating 120ohm resistor for IEEE485 connection and wired all cables correctly to your COM port!

MAYBE SOMEONE CAN POST A WORKING EXAMPLE?

Hello!

I am also trying to get 4 Mass Flow Controllers 5850S vom Brooks connected to LabView.

They are wired via RS485 and I am trying to use the vi`s I found in this forum.

Does anybody know what values i have to enter in "device id" and baud rate etc?

As far as I remember,

Device ID is the number written on the Mass Flow Controller MINUS a zero somewhere in the number, check the LabVIEW code provided to know which zero to delete (this was added as comment in the relevant VI)

Baud Rate: Check manual or phone Brooks

I already perform some test drivers, but with some of 5850S there is some bugs.

I would like to fix/test with these software --> not supported / provided anymore by Brooks (without emerson now).

hello

is anyone have working driver for books mass-flow ?

i tryed with the dll and all the VI i founded but i can't make anyone work.

I keep randomly getting "error 5001" when I read the MFC with the Brooks vis posted here. The error stops my program and then the program continues when I push the continue button. If the error occurs again it will stop the program again. I tired the clear the error before it stops the program, but this didn't seem to help. Any suggestion would be helpful.

I would invetigate why you get a checksum error.
