HELP!

I need a code that would control Keithley 2000 DMM.  What I have right now works, but acts completely crazy.  To put things in prospective, even the example that came with the driver doesn't work.  I am able to control other instruments such as scopes, function generators, source meters etc. I have enough knowledge to setup things and get them running. However I can't get this thing working.
I saw couple of codes that different people posted on forums, and even when they said that it worked for them it didnt work for me. It keeps telling me how setup is wrong.
Can anybody provide me with some feedback?
I discussed this topic already but I really want to give it another shot.
Thank you!

That's pretty confusing. You say it works but then you say it acts completely crazy. "Acting crazy" is very colorful language but not very descriptive and if you want  code that works, you have to describe in detail what code you are using right now and what about it doesn't work like you expect.

Let me try this to explain detailed...

I downloaded driver "KE2000".  After that I installed the driver.  I opened the Blank VI.  I got to folder where KE2000 driver is located. I came to example parts.  Dragged and droped "Ke2000 Read Single example.vi".  I opened it. Selected "VISA Resource name" which in my case is "GPIB::19".

I have wimdow that contains measurement box, unit box, and measure button.  After I satrted running the function it runs properly. But then when I press the button "MEASURE" to get a measurement it tells me that the setup is not right.  I cant do anything with the driver. And then when I go to block diagram each one funtion has red cross, indicating that it doesnt work.

Same thing happens if I try to run "KE2000 Read Multiple example.vi"

I have no clue why is that.  You helped me previously. And by now I already have system of multiple instruments working without any problems. I already have test running except for multi meter. I cant make it work.

GPIB::19 is not quite a correct VISA Resource Name if you do things correctly. This has been mentioned before. If you actually pick a resource name from the list, it would be GPIB0::19::INSTR. DO NOT TYPE IN the resource name. I also don't know what you mean by red crosses. Can you post an image of that. Can you also go to MAX and do a scan for instruments? Please post an image of the results from the scan.

Here is the image. Also, it doesnt show "INSTR" part in VISA resource name, unlike with other instruments where its fine.

There's either something seriously wrong with the instrument or with the system. You said that you were using GPIB::19 but the primary address of the only instrument found is 8. That should be GPIB0::8::INSTR. Have you checked the instrument itself to see what it is set to? It also says that it does not respond to the *IDN? query. The Keithley 2000 does respond to *IDN?. If you have no problems with other instruments on this system, using the same cable, and it's only this that is giving you problems, I'd say the instrument is defective. If you have another Keithley 2000, try that. Also, try the one that is giving you problems on a different system with a different controller and different cable.

yeah. The address on the instrument is set to 19.  But when I read instrument in LabView it recognizes 19 and 3...BOTH!!!!!!...so i guess I'll have to replace then.  All along I felt that something is weird because all other instruments are working properly....Same problem with a different cable...It looks like the instrument is deffected.  But this time around it gave me "INSTR"....

Just a questio:
What kind of gpib cable are you using?, self build or an official expensive one?

I'm sorry I had to ask, but it seems that your gpib connection is not very stable.
This could have been from a self buld cable or one that is too long or has too many other instruments attached that are not switched on.
Or the instrument is simply broken.
