I am very new to interfacing GPIB devices, actually I have never attempted this before. My goal is to query the power meter every second and have the results stored to a log file. Any help on where to begin would be appreciated.
What programming language are you planning on using? Do you already have a GPIB controller?
There are a few places that you might want to review. There is the Instrument Control Fundamentals page. There are also numerous GPIB tutorials on the web. NI has drivers for the instrument.
