How can I solve GPIB Compatability Problems with different GPIB Controllers?

We have made a instrument with NAT-9914 GPIB Chipset along with typical schemetic reference on the datasheet. It works fine with "PCI-GPIB" and "PCMCIA-GPIB" contol Cards. But when it is controlled by "PCMCIA-GPIB+" Card or "GPIB-232CT-A" device, the instrument often answers the "invalid-command" and more worse, it often reset the instrument.
If there are someone who can help to solve this problem, please give me some advise. Thanks in advance.

Hi Leo,

Consider using a GPIB analyzer to pinpoint where the errors are happening. You might also use NI-SPY to see which command(s) are causing the trouble. Functionally there should be no difference between any of the cards, so this seems strange. Is there any possibility that the connecters or cabling is not firmly connected for the two non-functioning cards?
