How do I communicate via GPIB from R-S SFU with LabView 8.5 on a remote PC?

I currently have a GPIB to USB adapter connected from a Rhode-Schwarz SFU to a remote PC.  The remote PC is loaded with LabView 8.5 with all associated drivers.  The PC recongizes the USB-GPIB connection and the proper driver was loaded.  The SFU address is default to 28.  MAX says "no equipment found" when I select communicate device.

autobots,

To communicate with your instrument, you first need to Scan for instruments by right clicking on your USB-GPIB device under devices and interfaces in MAX.  Your instrument should then appear under the USB-GPIB and you should be able to select communicate with instrument then.

I did run a Scan for Instruments but it came back with Equipment not Found.  I don't think the SFU is configured properly and not sure what else to do.
