How do change two loads on the N3300A simultaneously?

I have a N3300A main fram with multiple loads installed. I want to change two or more of the loads at the same time. I have figured out how to do this on the instrument with transient control but I would like to do it in my software.

Scottmen,

Are you asking how to do this in LabVIEW using the instrument driver or another method? The best place to find this information (if it is documented) is in the help files of the driver. This forum is also a terrific way to field questions like this.

What do you mean when you say "change" two or more loads at the same time. Do you mean configure? Most of the VI's I saw were related to measurement or configuration.

Essentially a little more clarification on your question and the forums should be able to help you out.

I am sorry. I should have been more specific. I am using a LabView program to control the load. I use VISA write or GPIB write command to change the current in constant current mode. For example I will have something like

CHAN 1 SET CURRENT 1.0 and then I set the current for channel 2 same way, basically another GPIB/VISA write.

The current does change pretty fast but there is some lag between the channels.

I have downloaded the driver. I was having trouble seeing anything that could help related to my problem.

There are several ways.

case 1

If the device supports multi-channel commands that allow to control multiple channels at a time (such as "CHAN 1,2,3"), use this feature, then send CURR nn command. This method is valid only when the setting values are same.  Similarly, Agilent devices may support (@1,2) expression after channel-aware commands such as "CURR nn, (@1,2)"

case 2

If the device supports trigger-based commands such as "CURR:TRIG nn", you can set each different value to each channel as reservation. Then send an ATN-true command Device Trigger by AssertTrigger function with "GPIB0::INTFC" VISA resource.
