How do you install an instrument driver?

I have downloaded an instrument driver for my instrument but I do not know how to get it to show up in the Functions palette of my LabVIEW distribution.

When you download the instrument driver, unzip it to the \instr.lib directory. The zip file should create a directory within this path and extract the files to this new folder. Now when you goto the Functions>>Instrument I/O>>InstrLib palette, you will notice a new option available for your driver.

Run labview, and under instr.lib you find the drivers.
