I'm trying to controll KEITHLEY 6517 by Excel Macro with VISA. But, the function of "spoll" has not be expressed by VISA. I'm not good at system term in English so I cannot understand what manual says. Please give me the solution how to perform serial spolling by VISA. The copy of a part of KEITHLEY manual which referes to "serail spolling" is attached.
The C function call you want is viReadSTB, or in LabVIEW, it is VISA Read Status Byte. Reading the status byte over GPIB performs an IEEE-488.1 serial poll.
