How to program with different device by NI-VISA in depth

hi,Dan Mondrik
Thanks for your answer.According to your answer,I right-click on Devices&Interfaces and create a new GPIB-VXI.But the icon of VXI shows a yellow exclamation, and it indicates the configuration is statically. So I think MAX still not identifies the GPIB-VXI correctly. GPIB-VXI device still can NOT work properly. What's wrong?
In MAX,it shows my pci-gpib card has two instrument.Visa property of instrument0 is "GPIB0::6::0::INSTR",another is "GPIB0::6::8::INSTR".While in other situation,"GPIB0::6::0::INSTR" changed to "GPIB0::6::96::INSTR" ,"GPIB0::6::8::INSTR" to "GPIB0::6::104::INSTR".When i use "RMEntry?" in 488 communication,it shows is 0 and 68. I'm confused with these addresses.
I think
you have experience of programming the gpib-vxi,maybe you can mail me a sample program under this enviroment shown in previous title.espically programing message-based device with word serial communiction.
Hope for your more help.

We have several documents online that can help you get started with your GPIB-VXI/C interface. I would recommend looking over these pages, trying some of what they suggest, and then write back in with questions. You should also set up a serial link to your GPIB-VXI/C to make sure RESMAN runs properly.
