How to use LabView 7.0 to control a furnace via serial port?

Hi,
I am a very brand new user of LabView and I need to control my furnace, which has an Eurotherm 847 controller that uses a serial port. I downloaded the drivers for the Eurotherm, but I don't know how to configure them in LabView and how to use them for the control.Could anyone halp me with this task? Thanks.

Most drivers come with a "Getting Started" example program. I took a look at that driver and it's equivalent for the Getting started vi is a vi called Eurotherm 808 Demo, which should work for you.
