How to use the fluke 19x driver in Labview

I have a Fluke 199 scopmeter and am trying to communicate with it using Labview 6.x and the driver. I have found the instrument driver but I can not communicate with Fluke 199. Can some one help me with this? What configurations and settings should I use on the scope in order to transmit date?

Hi,

You need to determine at what point the communication is failing. First, Is the COM port accessible?. You can use Window's Hyperterminal to exchange commands with the instruments.

Then open MAX (Measurement & Automation Explorer) and check if the Ports are visible. YOu can right click on the COM port and select Open VISA session. Go to the Basic I/O page. You can use this utility to verify if VISA is able to communcate with the instrument.

The instrument driver comes with a Getting started example VI. Use this as a reference and a troubleshooting tool.

I tyred your suggestions. Hyper terminal worked I could send commands and get response from the Fluke, also I can use PM9080 to communicate with the fluke. But when I went to MAX and tried communicating via VISA, it did not work. Do you have any suggestions?

P.S. All the settings are the same in VISA, Hyper terminal and PM9080.
