I am not able to set and read the temperature from the temperature controller 9650 using visual C++ even thogh there is no error message??

In the manual of the temperature controller they have given examples of how the string should be sent and there they have said that for getting the present set point "S<cr>?" string should be sent.......i tried communicating with the device by sending the query command "*IDN?" and it responds to it.....i have tried using the NI communicator too before using C...but i am not able to read the set point correctly...it did read the set point correctly once or twice but afer that it is always reading the value zero....

It would be adult trying to write code until you have the basic communication working in MAX.

Since you still have not provided the vendor or the programming manual, I don't see how anyone can provide any more help. I would suggest you contact the vendor directly since it does not seem to be an issue with NI hardware or software.

A couple of images is not the same thing as the actual manual. In any case, as I said, if you still cannot consistently read the setpoint in MAX with the VISA Interactive Control, you should not be worrying about the program.
