I cannot find the GPIB card using NI 488.2

I run the installation wizard and it doesn't find the GPIB card. The GPIB card is workink and I can control my devices in other ways (without NI 488.2).

This most likely is the result of installing the GPIB software AFTER the hardware has been installed. The sequence for using NI 488 with GPIB hardware is to first install the software then the hardware. Not following the printed procedure will cause the software to never detect the hardware.

You might want to try the following sequence:

1) Remove the hardware - then reboot
2) Uninstall the NI-488 software - then reboot
3) Power down - then install the NI-488 software
4) Power down - then install the hardware
5) Reboot

Hi,
I have just two quick comments:
1) Yay windows.
2) Consider changing the slot that your card is installed in. Sometimes a PCI slot can go bad and cause confusion when installing hardware. Move it toward the CPU as much as possible (as you are likely to have better luck if you don't have to cross the PCI-PCI bridge).

Best Regards,
Aaron K.
