I am using an SLM-AMINCO Series 2 Luminescence Spectrometer, model number FA-254. The manufacturer's software will only work using version 2.1 of the GPIB driver for OS2. I have already tried using the latest version (2.2) and the archived copy of 1.4 but the software specifies it will only work with version 2.1. The GPIB card I am using is a National Instruments 181832E-01.
Only v1.4 and v2.2 for OS2 are available on the support section of this website. Is there any chance someone has a copy of v2.1?
2.2? Where's 2.2? On seeing the title of your question, I immediately went to the downloads page, but they still only have 2.1 and 1.7 and thereabouts. Where's 2.2? (Though I want it for W2K, W98, etc., not OS2.)
The latest version of NI-488.2 for Windows XP, 2000, etc is version 2.1. Version 2.2 is the latest for OS/2. Contrary to their version numbers, NI-488.2 version 2.2 for OS/2 was released a few years ago, while NI-488.2 version 2.1 for Windows was released 5 months ago.
A nice applications engineer from NI just located the driver for me and sent me a copy. So, in case anyone else needs it in a similar situation, it can be obtained. Thanks to those who commented and to NI for digging up an old obsolete driver for me.
