In measurement and automation explorer, how do I change a device's value?

I am transferring an an older PCMCIA -> GPIB card to a new computer. Measurement and automation explorer recognizes it, but cannot communicate with it on the new machine. The only difference that I can see in the two configurations is that the value, under Name-value-description in MAX, reads PAD = 7 on the computer that can run the card and 0 on the computer that cannot run the card. How can I change this value?

Right click on "GPIB0" in MAX and select Properties...

In the configuration utility, where it indicates PAD, select 7.

Hope this helps.
